Bowen Therapy

Bowen Therapy involves gentle cross fiber moves over soft tissue structures.  These specific moves create muscular release and send neurologic signals to the brain allowing the body to reset and heal itself.  The Bowen moves have a highly effective way of activating a parasympathetic response, and the client becomes deeply relaxed.

A Bowen Session

In a Bowen session the client can be clothed or draped as in massage.  The moves will be performed in a a sequence with frequent pauses (the practitioner will usually leave the room).  The pause is an integral part of the therapy, allowing the body an opportunity to process the input and release any holding or tension patterns.
